Question by Christopher: Yoga Mat infected with Poison Ivy: throw out?
I have a yoga mat that is likely infected with the Urishiol oil. It was outside and the person using it got poison ivy after laying it down in a field and practicing yoga. Can I clean it effectively, or is it too much of a risk and I should just throw it out?

Thanks in advance for any replies.

Best answer:
you could thoroughly was it with soap and hot water however the oil in the poison plants , oak , ivy, sumac can survive 5 years even if plant is dead your best bet is to throw away not worth getting poison ivy,oak or sumac
