I think they are.
Also, is it acceptable (if your thin) to wear a sports bra and yoga pants to the gym without a shirt. and is the gym a good place to find nice respectfull men?

They are more comfortable and 90% of my bras are sports bras, much to the disappointment of my fiance LOL.
I would still wear a shirt over the sports bra though, skinny or not.
It also depends on the appropriate attire, as I've heard some places would require you to wear a shirt over your sports bra.
