How can I slim my legs without adding muscle bulk?

Question by Saki: How can I slim my legs without adding muscle bulk?
Well, here's the story. I'm 5'1", and about 108 lbs. I watch what I eat and I'm pretty happy with my body, but I want to take it to the next level. My stomach is flat-ish, save for one little soft roll on my lower abdomen - nothing serious, but I want it to be flat. Basically, I'm thin but I want to tighten everything up. The other thing is that I have naturally muscular legs. I think they would look really nice if I got rid of the fat that's on top of the muscle, especially in the calf/inner thigh area. However, I really don't want to add ANY more muscle than I already have. How can I achieve this?

I was thinking about a plan of doing cardio a couple times a week, elliptical/treadmill, etc. and combine that with yoga/pilates type of exercise as well, but really, I don't know much about exercise so any input would be appreciated. If you can forsee what kind of results I'll get out of the routine I just mentioned, that would also be helpful.

Thanks!

Best answer:
th secret of getting slim and lean muscles is doing something light for a greater amount of time. so if you do cardio, try to run for as long as possible. if you look at the athletes at the olympics, the 100 metres runners always have enormous thighs, while the 5000 metres runners have really thin and long legs. so, instead of running fast for a short distance, run slower but increase the distance. I would also say that pilates would be a god supplement to the cardio :) Good Luck!
