Alive with Yoga: Intermediate is a pleasant surprise, proving to be one of the best of its kind, despite some of the video's more New Age qualities (such as the appearance of a crystal in the opening credits). Lilias Folan's preliminary remarks include certain instructions--such as the importance of breathing through the nose, and moving into forward bends on the exhale rather then the inhale--that are both basic and essential to a successful practice, but rarely mentioned in other yoga videos.
