I just started doing some yoga?

Hello all,
I just started some yoga about two days ago, it's toning yoga but it's easy enough for beginners like myself. It's a 42 minute video so the benefits are great, but my question is about my muscle soreness. I'm pretty pain tolerant but I woke up this morning with such horrible muscle pain in my arms. The pain was unbelievable. It's better if I keep moving but back to my question, for those of you who do yoga regularly, were you sore when you first started? Also, have you seen any results with toning in the arms? if yes how long did it take for you to see results? I'm happy to report though that the part of my arm that's hurting, is the part that I would like to tone the most. I'm also a running so the combination of both I feel will benefit me as well.

Yoga is great for toning, your muscle soreness is normal. You are using muscles during yoga that you normally do not use on a daily basis or at least as hard. Just make sure you let your muscles recover and don't keep trying to workout the same muscles when they are sore. Try doing other yoga moves and go back to your dvd when your arms have recovered.
