Question by august: I feel so stuck, kind of long i think?
Okay so. I am trying to gain weight, but I am not eating the foods I should be eating in order too. I eat a lot of fruit and vegetables. I don't have my period and I want it to come back. I don't know what to do because that is all I feel like eating! Plus I am into the whole organic thing, vegetarian animal rights stuff - which my family kind of thinks is weird..I mean my dad understands but he is always away and I miss him so much.
I don't know - they just don't understand it I guess. So with that I kind of feel isolated with them on that part. I always do yoga (which my mom complains I shouldn't be doing if I am trying to gain weight) but I can't help it! I always feel so good after a yoga practice. It just makes me sad, because I don't like the way I look. I mean, I don't know if the foods I am eating are making it worse but I mean at least I am eating... like come on.
I just don't feel like having Icecream and chocolate - like pretty much I feel like having hot chocolate. But I don't know it's so weird. I know that my weight can come back much faster if I eat like nasty food - but I just don't like it. I don't know what to do! I mean I am eating whatever I want...
ughhh. lol, and I feel so hopeless because I don't feel comfortable to wear a bathing suit and it's summer. I am 18 well in July i will be 18 and I have never had a boyfriend or kissed anybody. Held hands with a guy...and it just makes me feel like crap. My self confidence has lowered so much since my weight dropped and I don't know how to make things go back to normal. I don't feel connected with anybody really - I just feel sad. And I am going to the doctors soon and I am afraid about what they are going to say about my weight - like I know I want to gain weight, but I just don't want them yelling at me because I am not stuffing my face with Icecream. Honestly, I am just so tired or worrying about it. It's like I always feel guilty about doing what I want to do (Yoga, and being hippie lmfao)
I am going to college soon so hopefully that can do something. However, I don't know if it will make it worse. I am really attached to my family (even though they sometimes make those remarks) For example: Yesterday my mom said I am going food shopping. I just asked if I could go because I had nothing else to do. And she said Yeah but don't buy any of that weird stuff. She said it so meanly! And the "weird" stuff is only like veggie burgers and soy milk sometimes. How is that weird? ? Plus I wanna try different things...I don't know. I also feel separate from my friends and I barely ever do anything on the weekends. I have lost friends and I want to go out and walk around on the town somewhere but I would feel weird doing it alone. I just want to meet new people and play music all day long. I just feel like it's been like this since well January when everything started tumbling down. I did have a therapist - didn't really do much + I don't want my parents spending the extra money because we don't really have it...
I am so scared to be left alone because I am afraid I will go over the edge and do something really stupid. Some days I am okay but other days I am not.
I just feel so lost - I don't know what to do..
yeah i eat a lot of granolas and i pretty much eat through out the whole day because thats just the way I Eat.
but idk i just feel like its not doing anything and i'm so tired or waking up and not liking the way i look
yeah like I do eat "bad for you foods"
just not like everyday.
only when i feel like it
ugh
Best answer:
I know, I feel like that too sometimes. And when I'm away from my parents I feel like something bad might happen to them so I get really worried. My dad suggested that when I go somewhere far from the family, carry something that means something. Like a close family photograph, or your smelly pillow =) something that reminds you of home. Drop me a message if you need to talk or anything, k? And besides I'm going for this dumb camp for the next three days, so I'm glad there's someone else feeling lost too - I'm not the only one. So neither are you =)

Managing Stress on the Golf Course to Improve Your Game
Article by Samantha Pearce
Golf involves stress and at times, this stress can be detrimental to your game. It may influence your behavior in negative ways and get you into a negative thinking process, which only deters your skills. Remember that a certain amount of stress is needed to facilitate your performance but too much stress can manifest itself in negative ways. Players need to learn how to objectively assess their levels of vulnerability to stress and how to set up appropriate strategies to compensate them. It is important to remember that the grandest quality of the true achiever is persistence. This often means fighting off discouragement and difficult times and in playing through slumps in performance. There are several strategies that may be helpful in assisting you to maintain a standard of confidence and a winning attitude. They are balance, positive thinking, respect, vision, goal setting, commitment to continued improvement, and character. OK, so how do you make it happen? Instead of getting mad when you play a bad shot, stay calm, remember everyone makes mistakes, if we did not, there would be no professional golf - we would all be playing to the standards of Phil Mickleson, Tiger Woods et.al. Don't beat yourself up about it, even if you have a really bad round. You know you are better than that, the next time you will play better. A more difficult technique is visualisation, many top sportspeople can and do visualise themselves performing well. When goal setting, set realistic targets, beware of pointless and low targets, but be aware of your ability when setting high targets. If you don't achieve them, think why? Maybe they were not realistic. Maybe there are too many other things in your life right now. Avoid using them to generate negative thoughts, you didn't reach a target - it is not the end of the world! Yoga for golfers can help you to improve your concentration and also helps with anger control. This will help you to keep things in perspective out on the golf course. A yoga for golfers DVD would make an ideal golf gift for yourself, or for the golfer in your life. Having the instruction on DVD means that you can go over the techniques as many times as you want. It will pay for itself financially and out on the golf course very quickly and you can practice the exercises whenever you feel like it. It is like having a portable golf yoga guru! So, with your improved mental attitude, you should find that you can enjoy your golf better even when having a bad round. But please remember, a little stress can add that winning edge to your game, just try to get the balance right!
