Question by Anita: Could I have genital herpes?
I have what feels like a fatty tumor on my the inner edge of my outer labia. Yesterday, I went to a hot yoga class, and perhaps the sweat could have been a source of irritation? I am also on my period.. could I be having a reaction to the chemicals on the pads? They usually tend to make me a little itchy, but have never led to a bump this size (~0.5 cm).
I do get cold sores on my mouth, but I my first outbreak of cold sores erupted in October of 2008, while the last time I had sex was three years ago, unprotected oral and anal. My partner did not have cold sores. Could it be possible that I contracted the virus three years ago and haven't had outbreaks until now? I prefer if those with actual experience answer. I'm making an appointment first thing in the morning, but I need some input now to calm my nerves.
Also, I had noticed a fishy smell today, even before I felt the bump. Can yeast infections give you tumor-like bumps?
