The yamas consist of teachings in ethical and social behavior in our surroundings. It educates us to hold back from lying, robbery, and gluttony. The niyama focuses on approach towards ourselves: compromising, purity, peacefulness, dedication, and plainness. One ought to learn and worship to a higher intellect. In the asanas, one focuses on attitude practice, positioning the body while slotting in the breath to attain a better consciousness in the mind. Dharana, or attention, is the skill to direct the mind in the direction of a selected thing and center in on it alone.

Finally, but most outstandingly class yoga, Samadhi is the final condition of Self-realization, or combination with the Source.
