Information about Yoga and Weight Loss?
Question by Ouroboros Heart: Information about Yoga and Weight Loss?
Hello everyone.
So, recently I loss a lot of weight, and, according to the BMI, I am not overweight anymore. The problem is, I have a lot going on right now, with work and stuff, and i would like to lose the weight that's left. I don't have time to go jogging and weight training doesn't cut as much calories as jogging. So, one of my friends suggested Yoga. Is this the right practice for me? Keep in mind that i have been overweight for almost four years, and, from what I've seen on TV, Yoga is hardcore. Could I do it? Any additional information would be appreciated.

The effects of yoga is slow. It will take you many months before you see results. As for alternative, why don't you try rebounding? Its basically jumping on a mini trampoline or a rebounder. Its a good calorie burner that needs only small amount of time. Jumping on it for 10 minutes could cost you already 300-400 calories. Imagine doing it for an hour? It really boosts your metabolism and improves your immune system. Rebounder like this is a good tool to start with http://www.needakusa.com/needak-rebounder.html
