Question by Pregnant lady: Does anyone know if YOGA is good for the lower back?
I can't do Pilates exercises since they hurt my back. Those are much too strenuous. I don't have any problem with doing aerobics. I was wondering if Yoga would help? I have had back surgery due to a herniated disk and I was considering buying a beginner yoga video but don't know if I should bother. Any suggestions would be helpful. Thanks.
Best answer:
yoga is also good for posture and most poses are less intense on the lower back than pilates . . . but given that you've had surgery, i would consult your doctor
