Question by free: anxiety, depression and diazepam......?
I have reached an end point right now. I have been dealing with stomach and abdominal pain for a year since october 31st 2009. It all started with a bad reaction to an antibiotic called marobid I was giving to treat a bladder infection. I could only take it for 3 days cause each succesve day I felt worse untill finally nov 1st 2009 I had severe abdominal and stomach pain. I'm going to skip talking about most of the HELL I went through after this. I can tell that the discomfort has not left or stopped and by january 2010 27th I experienced true depression like I have never experienced before cause that was the day my home doctor said that axiety and depression are making me sick and wrote me a prescription for citalopram
please bear in my mind that before all of this started I was eating normally felling ok I keep replaying this in my head. In the beginning of october I had thanksgiving dinner and loved it then a week later I had signs and symptoms of a UTI then for the rest of '09 and up till now I am in pain. I never had anxiety or depression but feeling sick for that long it drains the hell out you. So back to the story I tried citalopram but could only handle 3 days on it I know some of the side effects are upset stomach and the like but that's ok I could deal with that how ever I also began to experience abdominal burning and radiating pain all over my torso. I stopped it. I have been checked for parasites H.pylori I had an endoscopy and ultra sound and x ray but that didn't find anything. My GI doc said that some people's bowels become super sensitive to changes in gut flora and that the muscles might not be contracting right.
first he precribe A ppi and that made me feel terrible plus my food wasn't digesting properly (well obviously) then he finally precribed me diazepam said take it 3 times a day and if I stay on it for more than 3 weeks not to stop immediatly but taper off and that was it he sent me back to my home doc. I'll be honest now I have anxiety and depression why? becasue there is no help left I wake with morning cramps and painful bowel movments I literally lost a year of my life my family doesn't belive me I asked to be sent to a chiroparctor or accupuncture treatment but I don't have money and I was told no. I have been tested for celaic and was gluten free for 3 months. in last 6 months I have added fresh fruits and vegtables and grains to my diet and for the last 2 weeks I watch a yoga video and do the stretchs for 37 mins.
my drug plan didn't cover the diazepam but I not sure about taking it. I wake in the morning feeling terrible in two ways mentally and pysically. I understand how some people have depression becasue of life events or personal reasons but my depression is soley BECAUSE of this pain I am feeling I'm just like wow IBS has single handldly destroyed me. I am looking into medicinal marijuana I hope that can help me.
but to recap I am in pain every day it's not ending I don't eat much I way 106 pounds I'm a 24 year old male and I have nothing left I pray in the night to jehovah god for relief I have cried when the pain picks up and I feel hopeless. and to think just one short year ago I thought I had it bad when I had to make my own food since I live on my own but at least then I ate food and was'nt in pain. I keep reliving those moments before i took that first pill of medicine. I wasn't able to enjoy christmas last year and definatly won't this year all I want now is for the pain to be numbed that's it I'm so tired of this. It's amazing how quickly life can change one minute your having thanks giving dinner the next you spend a year in abdominal hell.

Have you been tested for Lyme Disease and other tick borne co-infections? If you live in the North Eastern US I would give this some thought or have had a known tick bite.
Yoga for Fast Lower Back Pain Relief
Article by Manny Aragon
Hi everybody, my name is Manny Aragon, and Iâ??m a practitioner of Structural Integration here in Newport Beach, California. The majority of my clients come to me on a daily basis with some kind of back pain, generally, lower back pain. So today Iâ??m going to talk a little bit about how you can resolve your lower back pain in a pretty straightforward and easy way, in over a course of series of subsequent videos where Iâ??ll take you through a series of exercises and explanations to really help you. You might want to try it and see how it works.
It is critical for us to understand how the spine works as it is the focal point of my method. Understanding my method will make these exercises a no brainer for you. The spine itself is made up of many parts and pieces. But whatâ??s interesting is that, each individual piece of the spine, and its ability to move or lack of ability to move affects the overall functionality of the spine, the overall performance of the spine. So, for instance, if you have pain in your lower back area; generally, the lower back area will be too mobile. In other words there will be too much movement in the lower back area of the spine. This means that the ligaments that hold the lumbar curve in the lower back area of the spine are stretched out. If there is too much movement on the lower spine, the upper middle back area of the spine doesnâ??t move enough. Because the upper middle back does not move enough, it forces the lower back to move too much. On the other hand, if the lower back moves too much, the upper middle back tightens up to compensate. In order to remedy this, what people usually do is that they strengthen the lower back area of the spine. My method proposes a different solution. It does not propose that you donâ??t strengthen your lower back nor it would show how to strengthen it. Rather it proposes to loosen the upper middle back area and Iâ??m going to show you how to do that with this series of videos and exercises. And when you perform the exercises that I have shown you, I want you to notice what happens to your spine. As the exercise will the increase and improve the functionality of the upper middle back, youâ??ll notice that the pain will diminish.
